President Biden told reporters during his ‘Big Boy’ press conference Thursday that it would simply be the “democratic process” if DNC delegates “want somebody else.”
Biden was answering a reporter who asked if the delegates were free to “vote their conscience.”
“Obviously they’re free to do whatever they want … If all of a sudden, I show up at the convention [and] everybody says ‘we want somebody else,’ that’s the democratic process,” said Biden, before finishing with his infamous stage whisper, “It’s not going to happen.”
