Alex Jones and constitutional lawyer Robert Barnes break down how the latest political trial against Jones is an unprecedented assault on due process and the rule of law.
“According to the plaintiff’s lawyers themselves, this is a political trial,” said Barnes Wednesday on The Alex Jones Show. “They want to put the politics of people that support Alex Jones on trial, and in order to do so, they need to smear and besmirch that audience to the world and allow that to happen – and that’s only happening because the courts are allowing it to happen.”
“The courts are gagging Alex Jones from presenting any defense on the substantive merits … This show trial – this Stasi-style, Soviet-style show trial – that is going to be occurring in Connecticut and Texas goes against our core constitutional principles of having a trial by jury on the substantive merits of the case … This presents an unparalleled threat to ordinary, everyday Americans’ freedom and liberty because if they can do it to Alex Jones then they can do it to you.”
