A Canadian comedy skit lampooned Justin Trudeau’s recent meeting with Donald Trump, depicting the Canadian prime minister as a spineless stooge who bows to the US president-elect’s demand to eat like a dog, or face stiff tariffs.
The skit, from the CBC Television program “This Hour Has 22 Minutes,” comes as details of Trudeau’s meeting last week at Mar-a-Lago with Trump revealed the president-elect at one point joked about annexing Canada.
“We are told that when Trudeau told President-elect Trump that new tariffs would kill the Canadian economy, Trump joked to him that if Canada can’t survive without ripping off the U.S. to the tune of $100 billion a year, then maybe Canada should become the 51st state and Trudeau could become its governor,” reported Fox News’ Peter Doocy on Monday.

On Tuesday, Trump appeared to troll Trudeau with an AI-generated image showing Trump taking in the view of Canada’s mountainous terrain alongside a Canadian flag.

The show’s harsh portrayal of Trudeau on national television suggests his recent trip to kiss the ring in Florida left a negative impression on Canadians.
