CBS was once against caught deceptively editing its interview, this time with House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), who was discussing the Biden administration’s continued failure to provide relief assistance to victims of Hurricane Helene in North Carolina.
Johnson said Monday, “CBS has been under fire for selectively editing their interviews to PROMOTE Democrats and UNDERMINE Republicans. Yesterday, they chose to cut FIVE important minutes out of my nearly 15 minute interview.”

Yesterday, they chose to cut FIVE important minutes out of my nearly 15 minute interview.
You can be the judge as to why.

Johnson then brought receipts, showing his answer aired by Face the Nation, as well as his answer in full that he appeared to have recorded himself.
The difference in the edits reveal Face the Nation had cut out Johnson’s first-hand account of Helene victims still struggling because the Biden administration had still not provided relief.
“I recently traveled to NC and victims of Hurricane Helene told me nearly two weeks after landfall, the Biden-Harris Administration had STILL not provided them with all the resources they desperately needed. But CBS selectively edited OUT ENTIRELY this first-hand perspective,” Johnson wrote on X Monday night.

This is Face the Nation’s edit of Johnson’s remarks on FEMA’s funding and hurricane response:
“So they’ve obligated some funds, but they’ve only distributed 2%. The rescue and recovery effort is still going on and then we address the rest of it.”
Here’s Johnson’s unedited remarks:
“So they’ve obligated some funds, but they’ve only distributed 2%. When I was there on the ground, and you should go, bring the cameras and talk to the people there, they’ll tell you, don’t take politicians’ words for this or the administration’s word. Talk to people there on the ground. They had not been provided the resources almost two weeks out from the storm that they desperately needed. When I was there, 13 days post-the storm hitting that state, people are still being rescued. They’re stuck in the higher elevations in the mountains because the roads are down and all the rest. So they need every available resource and all hands on deck. The rescue and recovery effort is still going on and then we address the rest of it.”
Johnson’s remarks call into question Mayorkas’ own remarks on the same program where he insisted that FEMA was diligently providing hurricane relief to victims in North Carolina and other Southeastern states and had plenty of funds to do so.
“Wow, this is active deception by CBS!” Elon Musk wrote on X in response to Johnson’s video.

CBS was just recently under fire for deceptively editing its interview with Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris, whose answer on Israel was so nonsensical that 60 Minutes aired a completely different answer than what she originally provided.
Remember Kamala’s word salad answer about Israel on 60 Minutes? It’s gone.

The media has obviously been in the tank for the Biden-Harris administration this whole time, but their efforts to provide cover have become more and more desperate as they completely abandon journalistic integrity while they endeavor to promote Democrats and undermine Republicans ahead of the election.
