A mob of leftist activists protesting against the Israeli war against Palestine conducted a roadblock on a busy freeway in Los Angeles, causing major snags for motorists including buses transporting schoolchildren.
The incident unfolded Wednesday morning in downtown Los Angeles on the 110-S Freeway around 9:30 AM, where dozens of demonstrators with the American Jewish group IfNotNow halted traffic by sitting on the roadway in efforts to protest US support of Israel.
One sign carried by the group reportedly stated, “Permanent Ceasefire: Equality, Justice, Safety For All,” and a giant menorah was also placed on the road.

“As Jews, we cannot sit by as the people of Gaza are starved and slaughtered our name. And as Americans, we can’t let Biden & Congress send billions more in funding for Israeli war crimes,” [sic] the group wrote on X.
The blockade impacted thousands of drivers and “caused heavy congestion on other L.A. freeways and side streets,” reported KTLA.
Some motorists also exited their vehicles to confront the protesters, with KTLA contributor Nick Verreos describing, “There was a scuffle. There were demonstrators fighting with some of the motorists who got out of their cars… They started fighting and punching, and I think the police got in there [to break it up].”
The California Highway Patrol reportedly apprehended 75 individuals when protesters refused to disperse after being informed by police it was an unlawful assembly.
CHP just announced that all people on the freeway southbound as well as *specifically* all members of the media are in violation of the law and subject to the arrest immediately.
