The National Institute of Health under Joe Biden has authorized the Wuhan Virology Institute in China to receive U.S. taxpayer funding.

Yes, really.

The Wuhan Virology Institute, believed by numerous agencies to be where the COVID-19 outbreak originated, will now receive taxpayer funding for animal research through 2024 via the EcoHealth Alliance.

The ChiCom research lab has already received $600,000 from 2014-2019 and a $3.7 million grant from the National Institute of Health in 2014 from the National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases, which White House coronavirus task force leader Dr. Anthony Fauci has headed since 1984.

The State Department found that the researchers at the Wuhan Virology Institute had become infected with COVID symptoms before the outbreak was first reported in December 2019, and that the institute had collaborated with the Chinese military on classified gain-of-function research.

“I look forward to seeing their results. I continue to know that there was significant evidence that this may well have come from that laboratory,” former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said as the ChiCom-backed World Health Organization was visiting Wuhan.

President of the watchdog group White Coat Waste Project Anthony Bellotti told the Daily Caller that EcoHealth Alliance should be defunded entirely for funding “reckless gain-of-function animal experiments that may have led to the COVID-19 pandemic.”

“We’re urging Congress and the White House to defund EcoHealth now and secure independent investigations into whether their treacherous gain-of-function animal experiments at the Wuhan Institute of Virology led to the COVID outbreak.”

The WHO finished its “investigation” into the coronavirus origins in China earlier this month, claiming that animal-to-human transmission of COVID-19 was the “most likely” original pathway.

“The laboratory incident hypothesis is extremely unlikely to explain the introduction of the virus into the human population,” leader of the WHO investigative team Dr. Peter Ben Embarek said.

“Therefore, [it] is not in the hypotheses that we will suggest for future studies.”

This is what punishing China for unleashing a virus upon the world looks like in Biden’s America.
