Chinese State media issued a tweet Wednesday celebrating President Donald Trump’s ouster from the White House.
In the tweet from ChiCom-run Xinhua News agency, the Communist nation expressed relief that their toughest competitor had been removed from office.
“Good Riddance, Donald Trump!” the tweet stated, along with those words superimposed over an image of the US Capitol, and a link to an article expressing similar sentiments.
In the article, Xinhua editors blast Trump as appearing to be tough, but “actually weak on the inside,” as they acknowledge the new administration will be better for China economically.
The article also takes issues with the previous administration’s efforts to secure the human rights of dissidents in Hong Kong, accusing Trump of attempting to “interfere in China’s internal affairs.”
Editors also took issue with a new State Dept. announcement Tuesday determining China had committed genocide and crimes against humanity.
“In a new action against China days before the U.S. government transition, certain U.S. politicians are making up reasons of reducing risks from so-called espionage to minimize procurement of Chinese goods and services,” the ChiCom editors fumed.
“Such moves violated international trade rules and the principles of a market economy, undermined global industrial and value chains, and damaged the interests of companies and consumers in both countries. The trade war with China has failed to boost the U.S. economy, but instead led to a slowdown in U.S. economic growth and an increase of job losses.”
In reality, the “slowdown in U.S. economic growth and an increase of job losses,” was a direct result of COVID-19 — which originated in Wuhan, China.
Meanwhile, Joe Biden has close ties to China through his son Hunter, who was documented to have made backroom deals with Chinese business people via information obtained through his laptop.
Ultimately, it’s no surprise China is ecstatic over a new president that will work to Make China Great Again.
