CNN is embroiled in drama with the Trump campaign after host Kasie Hunt cut off national press secretary Karoline Leavitt for pointing out Jake Tapper’s rabid anti-Trump bias ahead of his moderation of the presidential debate.
After the contentious segment Monday, Hunt defended her network dropping Leavitt from the interview, writing on X, “You come on my show, you respect my colleagues. Period. I don’t care what side of the aisle you stand on, as my track record clearly shows.”
Before she was cut off, Leavitt noted she was just “stating facts that your colleague has stated in the past.”
Tapper’s anti-Trump hatred is extensively documented.

CNN of course defended “veteran journalist” Tapper’s record when the network announced its presidential debate on June 27, claiming “no one is better equipped” to moderate the debate between Trump and Joe Biden.
