The leftist media is suddenly really interested in covering the ailing mental ability of a government figure, because that person is a Republican, Mitch McConnell.
The Senate Minority Leader appeared completely out of it Wednesday during a press conference, freezing up and staring into space for around half a minute before aides ushered him away from the podium.
CNN’s resident “doctor” Sanjay Gupta noted that McConnell “clearly had some kind of neurological event” and needs to be “checked out” by doctors ASAP.
“It was definitely concerning to watch,” Gupta continued, adding “I mean, I think his doctors will be looking at that tape and sort of, you know, trying to figure out what happened there. He needs to get checked out, I think that’s really the bottom line.”
“Something clearly happened. It could be something more simple: dehydration, a little infection, medication interaction, but I think given his history, that fall back in March, his age, you’ve got to make sure you’re also addressing and ruling out other things,” Gupta continued.
“A mini stroke, a mini seizure, things like that. A mini seizure could have been related even to that fall that he had back in March, so, again, common things common, but you’ve got to rule out the bad things as well,” Gupta added.
Gupta reemphasised “I really think he needs to be seen. I mean, you know, one thing about things like a TIA, which is a transient ischemic attack, also known as a mini stroke, is that untreated it could lead to more mini strokes and even lead to a more significant stroke. The key is to actually get that checked out in time.”
“If there’s one thing that people know about strokes, it’s that time is really important. Again, this is speculative, but he clearly had some sort of neurological event there,” Gupta further claimed.
In addition to all of this, NBC News reported that McConnell had a significant fall 12 days ago while getting off a plane.
The report states:
The July 14 fall, which has not been previously reported, occurred after the flight out of Washington was canceled while everyone was on board. McConnell, R-Ky., who was a passenger on the plane, had a “face plant,” someone who was on the plane at the time but did not witness the fall told NBC News. That passenger also said they spoke to another passenger who helped tend to McConnell after the fall.
McConnell spoke to the press 30 minutes after the weird incident Wednesday and said that Joe Biden had called him to make sure he was OK.
You know things are bad when Joe Biden is checking in to make sure you’ve still got all your marbles.
When it comes to calling out Octogenarians in the government who are clearly incapable of fulfilling the duties of their office, CNN is all over it if that person is a Republican.
Not so much if it’s Joe Biden or Diane Feinstein though.
