CNN’s Michael Smerconish launched into a rant Wednesday encouraging viewers to “shun” their friends and family who have not taken the COVID-19 shot.
“A lot of folks just aren’t going to do it,” Smerconish lamented, referring to folks taking the COVID jab.
“Here’s an option: There was a USA Today essay that was published by a former prosecutor named Michael Stern – and I discussed this briefly on radio yesterday – he says we’ve got to shun folks, we’ve got to shun people into getting vaccinated.”
“The shunning suggestion is this: businesses should make vaccination a requirement for employment.
“Things should get personal too. People should require friends to be vaccinated to attend the barbecues and birthday parties they host. Friends don’t let friends spread COVID.”
Smerconish then cited his own website poll, which apparently showed that 73% of the 7,241 respondents agreed that friends and family should be shunned until they get the jab.
Over the weekend, Smerconish also called on the federal government and corporate America to “leverage” their enormous power against the American people to force them to take the vaccine.
