Country music legend Travis Tritt announced he won’t be requesting Anheuser-Busch beers on his upcoming tour after Bud Light partnered with trans activist Dylan Mulvaney.
“I will be deleting all Anheuser-Busch products from my tour hospitality rider,” Tritt declared on Twitter Wednesday, adding, “I know many other artists who are doing the same.”
A hospitality rider includes food and beverage requests made by an artist for the day of the show.
The country star said there are many in the industry who espouse similar sentiments but won’t say so publicly for fear of retaliation.
“Other artists who are deleting Anheuser-Busch products from their hospitality rider might not say so in public for fear of being ridiculed and cancelled. I have no such fear,” Tritt said.
Replying to a Twitter user who asked for a list of Anheuser-Busch/InBev products to boycott, Tritt responded with a graphic showing various beers under the company’s umbrella.
Country rock legend Kid Rock similarly responded to Bud Light this week following the trans activist controversy, taking a machine gun to the beer brand’s products to illustrate his discontent.
The country artists’ contention with Bud Light comes as the brand created a special can featuring the transgender activist commemorating his 365 days of womanhood.
