A left-wing group attempting to conduct its own undercover reporting in the same vein as the legendary Project Veritas proved to be totally clueless regarding the issues voters actually care about.
A Democrat activist named Lauren Windsor, who founded a website called The Undercurrent, recently talked with U.S. Rep. David Schweikert (R-Ariz.) while wearing a hidden camera.
In what Windsor apparently thought was damning footage, Schweikert supports pardoning January 6th political prisoners only after Republicans “win the White House” back.
Next, the congressman explained the reason the GOP wants Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) to head the oversight committee is so that all FBI documents have to go by his committee.
Schweikert said Jordan would spend “240 days knifing the Biden administration” if selected to head the committee.
“We can expose to the public what is really going on,” he said before being asked, “Are we going to be able to defund the FBI?”
“You don’t want to defund them. You want to break them up. It’s different,” Schweikert answered, saying they’d get rid of all the political employees instead of defunding the bureau.
The Arizona congressman also said he’d like the GOP to get rid of FBI Director Christopher Wray, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
The vast majority of Republican voters will see this video and agree with everything Schweikert said.
In no way will the undercover footage harm his campaign, and it might even give him a boost!
