Police in Cleveland, Ohio, are sounding the alarm on an unsettling trend after 27 children were reported missing last month, all within the first two weeks.

In the past two weeks, Cleveland Police Department records show a rash of reported missing children between the ages of 12 and 17 years-old.
Since May 2nd, there have been 27 kids reported as active missing cases, and that number may be higher as some have been located and removed from the active file.
Newburgh Heights police Chief John Majoy, who also heads the non-profit Cleveland Missing organization dedicated to finding missing children and adults, told Fox News 2023 has been a big year for missing persons.
“There’s always peaks and valleys with missing persons, but this year it seems like an extraordinary year,” he said.
“For some reason, in 2023, we’ve seen a lot more than we normally see, which is troubling in part because we don’t know what’s going on with some of these kids, whether they’re being trafficked or whether they’re involved in gang activity or drugs.”
Majoy says a majority of cases are likely runaways, but that naive children will often fall prey to “wolf in sheep’s clothing” predators with sinister motives.
“Parents should keep a close eye on children’s social media as this is a significant impact for teens,” he warned.
“It’s a silent crime that happens right under our noses,” Majoy told Fox News.
“The problem is where are they? Where do they go? They can be in a drug house or farmed to prostitution.”
Speaking to WOIO, Majoy highlighted several factors that could be behind the disturbing spike.
“We have received several new cases where we are providing support to the families,” Majoy said. “The uptick can be viewed in several ways: end of school year, warm weather, opportunities, etc.”
According to Majoy, a significant obstacle in the finding process is the absence of photos linked to missing persons in the city’s database, which require submissions by family members or acquaintances.
“Unless someone knows that person, then we’re not going to have any luck,” he says.
“On the flip side,” Fox News reports, “if the family has photos, police can use social media and blast out messages to the public, which he said is law enforcement’s ‘greatest asset’ in missing persons cases, to stockpile tips and potential leads.”
The problem of missing children appears to be rampant in Ohio, with The Sun reporting, “More than 15,000 children were reported missing in Ohio last year, and four of them were found dead.”
The alarming issue follows startling allegations by ex-UN executive director Calin Georgescu, who claimed oligarchs who control the world are tied to the scores of children who go missing each year with no trace.
“The problem is that this oligarch, all of them are related to the system of pedophilia,” Georgescu said in a conversation with the the International Crimes Investigative Committee independent non-profit NGO.
“We know that there are more than 8 million children per year which disappear. 8 million does mean the entire population of Austria. They disappear without any information, simply like that.”
