Liberal documentary filmmaker Ken Burns appeared on CNN where he told viewers Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) is an “authoritarian” akin to Hitler because he sent illegal immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard in a political stunt.
Burns joined CNN‘s John Berman Thursday to discuss the Florida governor’s decision to fly 48 illegal immigrants to the affluent Massachusetts islands where Obama vacations.
The filmmaker also went on the program to promote his new documentary focusing on America’s response to the Holocaust.
Berman told Burns the DeSantis scheme “addressed some of the same themes” covered in the Holocaust documentary.
Responding, Burns said the Florida governor is using the illegal immigrants as political pawns in an “authoritarian game coming straight out of the authoritarian playbook.”
He continued, saying, “What’s so disturbing about DeSantis is to use human beings… to weaponize human beings for a political purpose.”
Burns then claimed DeSantis is “punishing political enemies” and “putting on a political theater with the lives of human beings.”
“What’s so ironic is these are Venezuelan refugees which DeSantis should be supporting because they’re trying to flee the corruption of a left-wing government and all the pain there,” he added.
Near the end of the video clip, the filmmaker urged Americans to stand up to politicians like the Florida governor before the nation becomes the next Nazi Germany.
“The time to save a Democracy is before it’s lost,” he told the CNN audience.
As is typical with mainstream media propaganda, the message being distributed is an inversion of reality as it is the left-wing establishment promoting open borders that puts millions of incoming illegal immigrants at risk of rape, disease and death.
The Democrat party is using human beings as political pawns by flooding America with individuals who largely vote in their favor and typically sign onto government assistance programs created by and promoted by the left.
The overwhelming flow of illegals pouring into the U.S. is also aligned with the agenda of the UN and WEF which openly plan on collapsing America and removing it from its place as the world’s leading superpower in order to usher in a New World Order.
