‘Dr. Hotez Should Absolutely NOT Debate Robert Kennedy Jr.’ Daily Beast Editor Tells CNN

'There's no reason that Dr. Peter Hotez should even bother with it. He's elevating [RFK Jr.] by debating him,' says Molly Jong-Fast.

Dr. Hotez was challenged by Joe Rogan to debate RFK Jr. on the efficacy of Covid vaccines.

Daily Beast editor Molly Jong-Fast discouraged Dr. Peter Hotez from debating Democrat presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, claiming that doing so could promote disinformation.

Speaking with Jim Acosta, Jong-Fast commented on the growing controversy over the weekend threatening to force Hotez to defend his position that the jabs worked against RFK Jr., who is deeply skeptical about the jabs’ effectiveness, in a forum hosted by podcaster and comedian Joe Rogan.

“Should he do that kind of a debate?” Acosta asked, with the headline “Disinformation Wars” displayed on the chyron.

“No, he should absolutely not,” Jong-Fast responded.

She went on to say the debate is beneath Dr. Hotez, who has worked on distributing vaccines to underdeveloped countries.

“The man has devoted himself to science,” Jong-Fast commented, adding, “He is an incredibly good man. We both know him.”

The liberal editor went on to bash Kennedy for questioning the efficacy of the Covid jabs, and claimed he’s beholden to big-money donors who sense blood in the water as ex-President Donald Trump’s third bid for the presidency faces Deep State headwinds.

“RFK Jr. is a crank and an anti-vaxxer and we all know why these very wealthy tech bros are pumping him up at the last minute,” she said, “because… they’re pretty sure Republicans are going to nominate a very unelectable candidate in general, it’s very possible they’ll nominate Trump and then they’re trying anything they can to prevent Biden from being reelected, and so they’re propping up this third-party candidate.”

“I mean you listen to RFK Jr., the stuff he says it doesn’t even make any sense. And there’s no reason that Dr. Peter Hotez should even bother with it. He’s elevating him by debating him.”

Jong-Fast’s defense of Hotez, who’s been linked to Covid-19 gain-of-function research, comes as Rogan offered him $100,000 to the charity of his choice to come on his show and debate RFK Jr. on the jabs; however, the doctor refused to say whether he’d accept the offer.

The charity pot has since ballooned to $2.6 million as others eager to see the debate play out pitched in.
