A source has reportedly told CNN a request by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to play a video message to the crowd and audience of this weekend’s World Cup championship was denied by FIFA.

Zelensky’s office allegedly reached out to FIFA asking for a recorded or live video of the Ukrainian leader to be played on the Qatar stadium’s jumbotron screen.

The Ukrainian government was said to have been caught off guard by the soccer organization’s decision, with a source telling CNN, “We thought FIFA wanted to use its platform for the greater good.”

The outlet’s headline for the story claimed Zelensky wanted to “share a message of world peace” at the World Cup final.

However, Zelensky has repeatedly refused to engage in peace talks and has a hardline stance against negotiating with Russia.

The most likely scenario is that the Ukrainian leader was hoping to ask for more money and military assistance from other nations across the globe as he has been doing for nearly a year.

In a 1984-style example of Double Think, Zelensky’s World Cup video conference attempt would end up escalating the death and destruction being caused by the ongoing conflict in Ukraine instead of bringing “peace” as CNN claimed.

Ukraine’s actor-turned-president has frequently used major media events and met with Western celebrities to rally global support for the war his country is engaged in.

Zelensky has appeared at the G-20 Summit, the Grammys, the Cannes Film Festival and other large events while doing interviews and meeting with people like Sean Penn, David Letterman, Ben Stiller and Bear Grylls among others.

Attorney and radio host Lionel commented on the FIFA, Zelensky news on Twitter, writing, “Everyone inherently knows how to recognize a fraud. A propped up insincere inauthentic unauthentic synthetic manufactured counterfeit camouflage ersatz phony baloney simulacrum and globalist dimbox. Shall I go on?”
