Flashback: Bill Barr Says Mail-In Voting Scheme “Reckless and Dangerous”

Former Attorney General Bill Barr has reportedly dismissed President Trump’s election fraud accusations as “bullshit” — but he was singing a different tune just months prior.

According to an upcoming book by CBS fake newser Jon Karl, Barr said near the end of Trump’s presidency that “there was nothing there” when it came to fraud in the 2020 presidential election.

“My attitude was, it was put-up or shut-up time,” Barr reportedly said. “If there was evidence of fraud, I had no motive to suppress it. But my suspicion all the way along was that there was nothing there. It was all bullshit.”

But Barr had a totally different take in September 2020, when he appeared for a heated interview on CNN’s “Situation Room” to warn of the many risks and dangers that come with universal mail-in voting pushed by the Democrats in the name of protecting public health.

“Wolf, this is cheap talk to get around the fundamental problem,” Barr told host Wolf Blitzer. “Which is the bipartisan commission by Jimmy Carter and James Baker said back in 2009 that mail-in voting was fraught with the risk of fraud and coercion.”

“And until this administration –” he continued until Blitzer tried to interrupt.

“Let me talk!” Barr barked. “Since that time, there have been in the newspapers, and networks, academic studies, saying it is open to fraud and coercion. The only time the narrative changed is after this administration came in, but elections that have been held with mail have found substantial fraud and coercion.”

Barr even described some of the obvious mechanisms that produce election and ballot fraud.

“We haven’t had the kind of widespread use of mail-in ballots as being proposed,” Barr explained. “We’ve had absentee ballots requested from people with a specific address. Now what we’re talking about is mailing them to everyone on the voter list when everyone already knows that those lists are inaccurate.”

“People who should get them don’t get them, which has been one of the major complaints in states who have tried this in municipal elections,” he continued. “And people who get them are not the right people, they’re people who replaced the previous occupant and can make them out. There’s sometimes multiple ballots come to the same address with several generations of occupants.”

“You think that’s a way to run a vote? This is playing with fire,” Barr added.

Weighed together, there can only be two possibilities regarding Barr’s recent remarks.

Either Barr’s comments were fabricated by known fake news sycophant Jon Karl, or Barr caved to Washington.

President Trump excoriated Barr’s about-face in a Sunday statement.

“Earlier in his term Bill Barr went ballistic on CNN with Wolf Blitzer warning Democrats were changing election rules to flood the system with mail-in ballots that ‘as a matter of logic’ are ‘very open to fraud.’ They are, and Bill Barr did nothing about it,” Trump said.

“Instead of doing his job, he did the opposite and told people within the Justice Department not to investigate the election.”

“Just like he did with the Mueller report and … RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA, they don’t want to investigate the real facts. Bill Barr’s weakness helped facilitate the cover up of the Crime of the Century, the Rigged 2020 Presidential Election!” he concluded.
