After Fox News cut short Donald Trump’s criticisms of Kamala Harris’ Democrat nomination acceptance speech Thursday night, the former president called the next program’s show host live on-air to continue his commentary.
Trump was on the line with Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum, slamming a potential Kamala presidency, when 11:30PM struck, and the hosts had to hand off to the network’s next program, “Gutfeld!”
“Mr. President, thank you so much for the time,” Baier told Trump on minute 10 of his Harris-blasting rant, hurriedly attempting to sign off as “Gutfeld!” was set to start.
“Ok, thank you very much,” Trump responded.
Within moments, the “Gutfeld!” intro began with the show’s namesake host Greg Gutfeld immediately apologizing, insisting, “That wasn’t my fault, Donald Trump!” and joking, “He’s still talking, by the way.”
Following a commercial break, Gutfeld returned with a phone in his hand and Trump on the line.
“Hey! Mr. President, I’m live now. Say hello to my audience,” Gutfeld told him, adding, “So don’t — don’t say anything that will get you in trouble!”
Without missing a beat, Trump replied, “I don’t mind. At this point, what difference does it make? We’re doing well, we’re leading in the polls.”
Trump went on to highlight Democrats “basically staged a coup” on Joe Biden, adding, “But I think we’re doing very well,” before Gutfeld finally let the president go.
Trump on Thursday night provided live commentary on his Truth platform during the Democrat National Convention, pushing back on Kamala’s radical far-left talking points in real-time.
