An underage girl was sexually assaulted aboard a bus in France last month by an illegal migrant who was already under orders to leave the country, according to reports.
The disturbing incident unfolded on July 31 in La Seyne-sur-Mer, a seaside commune on the French Riviera.
A 14-year-old girl on holiday in the town was riding a public bus when a foreign man approached and sat next to her, Var-matin reports.
“He smelled of tobacco and alcohol,” the girl later told authorities.
The man began sliding closer to her, forcing her to the edge of her seat.
“Little by little, I was shifting,” the victim said.
“He was caressing me. I started to be very scared. I couldn’t move.”
The girl’s friends eventually saw what was happening and alerted the driver who drove the bus to a nearby depot under instructions from his manager.
When employees of the transit network confronted the suspect and notified him that police were on their way, he attacked them.
“Sons of bitches, I’m going to f**k your mother. I’m going to come and kill you,” the man yelled.
During a scuffle, the violent suspect broken one of the transit worker’s teeth before they were able to subdue him.
Arriving officers using a stun gun to neutralize the suspect and took him into custody.
He was identified as Mohamed M., a migrant who entered France illegally and had been under orders to leave the country since at least January of 2023.
Mohamed M. was convicted and sentenced to 18 months in prison, eight of which were suspended.
