Wisconsin Judge Hannah Dugan was indicted by a federal grand jury Tuesday on charges she obstructed justice when she allegedly helped an illegal alien evade ICE agents following a court appearance.
The Milwaukee County Circuit Court judge reportedly attempted to prevent the federal detainment of Mexican national Eduardo Flores-Ruiz amid a March 18 pretrial hearing for a domestic abuse case, according to an FBI affidavit in April.
Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) discussed the rogue judge’s recent indictment during an appearance with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham.

The AP explained how the grand jury’s closed-door indictment process goes ahead of an upcoming trial:
A grand jury still reviews charges brought by complaint to determine whether enough probable cause exists to continue the case as a check on prosecutors’ power. If the grand jury determines there’s probable cause, it issues a written statement of the charges known as an indictment. That’s what happened in Dugan’s case.
The FBI’s affidavit described in vivid detail the elaborate way a “confrontational, angry” Dugan allegedly misdirected federal arresting officers out of her courtroom while she “commanded Flores-Ruiz’s attorney and the male to leave through a backdoor of the courtroom.”
“Despite having been advised of the administrative warrant for the arrest of Flores-Ruiz, Judge Dugan then escorted Flores-Ruiz and his counsel out of the courtroom through the ‘jury door,’ which leads to a nonpublic area of the courthouse,” the complaint stated.
Ruiz was later arrested by DEA and FBI agents following a foot chase.
Dugan was taken into US Marshal custody at her county courthouse late last month and later evaded reporters after being charged in federal court.
