Honk: Man Dressed as Clown Mocks Austin City Council’s Woke Policies After Energy Disaster

A political activist in Austin, Texas, donned a clown outfit as he asked to be employed by the city’s energy department a week after a massive power outage impacted hundreds of thousands of residents.

Activist Alex Strenger pulled the hilarious stunt, telling council members and Mayor Kirk Watson someone needs to be held responsible for the city’s inept response to last week’s crisis.

“My mother told me to dress for the job that you want to have, and that is why I am here today because I would like to be the CEO of Austin Energy,” the clown declared as several audience members laughed.

Strenger sarcastically went on to espouse solidarity with the city’s green energy policies and other aspects of its woke agenda.

“Right now our number one priority is climate change. we need to get to net zero by 2030 and honestly if we’re ever going to achieve these you shouldn’t even be using power at all, okay?”

“Listen, just last month I destroyed the gas stove that I owned in a fire that I started because I am firmly committed to saving the planet just like you,” Strenger told council members.

“I have pronouns in my Twitter bio, I also have Ukrainian flags in my Twitter bio,” he continued, “and due to my extensive qualifications and the fact that my priorities align so much with the city of Austin.”

“I would like a salary between $350,000 to $500,000 a year, so that I can support my lifestyle, fund my cocaine habit, and care for my wife who has stage five testicular cancer.”

Strenger’s stunt was highlighted by a local CBS Austin affiliate, illustrating how anger over the power disaster was widespread.

The activist deserves praise and recognition for showing liberal city council members a reflection of the clown world they’re creating.
