President Trump humbly admitted he’s not the most famous person in the world, crediting the Christian deity Jesus Christ with holding that title.

The president made the admission during a campaign rally speech Thursday in Greenville, North Carolina.

“Somebody said to me the other day, ‘You’re the most famous person in the world by far.’ I said, ‘No, I’m not. No, I’m not,’” Trump said, acting out the conversation.

“They said, ‘Yes you are.’ I said, ‘No.’”

“They said, ‘Who’s more famous?’”

“I said, ‘Jesus Christ,’” the president said, at which point the packed-out crowd erupted in cheers and applause.

Trump led into the comments after addressing the recent COVID-19 diagnosis of two aides on Democrat opponent Joe Biden’s team, according to The Hill:

Before he lauded Jesus, Trump extended condolences to Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s campaign team regarding the news of two aides testing positive for COVID-19.

“Masks, no masks, everything, you can do all you want, but you know, you still need help from the boss,” Trump said, pointing to the sky.

Trump is keeping up the momentum with a hectic campaign rally schedule going into the weekend, starting with two rallies on Friday in Ocala, Florida, and in Macon, Georgia.
