To the dismay of senior officials, Hunter Biden has been sitting in on White House meetings alongside his father Joe Biden between top advisers and staff ever since his disastrous debate performance, MSBNC reported Tuesday.
“We are learning from sources familiar with the situation at the White House that Hunter Biden has been by his father’s side ever since they were at Camp David this weekend as a family, where they had some discussions about the president’s potential path forward here, and his reelection campaign,” correspondent Monica Alba said.

“Since he returned from Camp David last evening with his father, we understand that Hunter Biden has even joined some meetings and conversations that have taken place between the president and some of his most senior advisors and senior staff.”
Alba went on to note the highly “unusual” circumstances of Hunter actively participating in high-level White House meetings as opposed to him being at the residence in a civilian capacity.
“While we should note that it’s not unusual for Hunter Biden to be at the White House — to be in the residence, to be attending certain White House events, which we have certainly seen time and time again over the last three and half years, where he have seen photos of him and where he has appeared in public — it is unusual, according to the people we spoke with, for him to be participating at this level and to have the sort of regularity of some of these contacts and conversations with senior staff.”
NBC News continued, “Another person familiar with the matter said the reaction from some senior White House staff has been, ‘What the hell is happening?’”
Other sources told the New York Post on Tuesday that the First Son has also been attending these meetings because “Hunter doesn’t trust” his father’s close circle of aides.
“I think Hunter wants to be there, and POTUS isn’t going to say no,” one source said.
This follows reports that Hunter Biden, in addition to Jill Biden, have been the driving force behind Joe Biden’s refusal to drop out of the presidential race after his horrible debate performance.
“One of the strongest voices imploring Mr. Biden to resist pressure to drop out was his son Hunter Biden, whom the president has long leaned on for advice, said one of the people informed about the discussions, who, like others, spoke on condition of anonymity to share internal deliberations,” the New York Times reported.
