A clash ensued between the Connecticut judge presiding over the Sandy Hook case against Alex Jones and his attorney Norm Pattis after Hillary Clinton was brought up during cross-examination of a witness.
The contentious exchange came Tuesday after Pattis began a line of questioning suggesting outrage over Jones’ opinions regarding Sandy Hook began after Hillary Clinton brought it up during her infamous “Deplorables” campaign speech in 2016.
But Judge Barbara Bellis quickly sustained an objection about the relevance of questions regarding Clinton, prompting Pattis to shift to Jones’ interview with Megyn Kelly in 2017 that also saw Sandy Hook brought up once again.
At this point, Judge Bellis instructed the jury to leave the room and began excoriating Pattis for asking the witness, former FBI agent Bill Aldenberg, the wrong questions.
“It’s our contention that this issue was largely dead until Hillary Clinton made a campaign issue of it in 2016,” Pattis told the judge, who indicated that the matter had been settled and overruled Pattis.
“I already ruled on the issue, and we’re moved on from that,” Bellis said. “So now, you just talked about Megyn Kelly. So let’s address Megyn Kelly.”
“I don’t want to hear Hillary Clinton again,” she barked.
Pattis then argued that Kelly’s interview sparked an effort by Connecticut residents to shut down the interview, and Pattis wanted to establish if Aldenberg was one of those involved.
“With respect to Megyn Kelly, given the nature of the argument that the plaintiffs made here, it’s our contention we are entitled to put on exaggeration, as a defense,” Pattis said.
“When Megyn Kelly and NBC did an interview with Jones in 2017, a number of Connecticut residents petitioned local affiliates to not air the 2017 interview with Jones. I want to know what this man [Aldenberg] is one of them.”
Hillary Clinton had invoked Alex Jones and Sandy Hook during a campaign speech attacking Trump for appearing on The Alex Jones Show.

I don’t know what happens in somebody’s mind or how dark their heart must be to say things like that. But Trump doesn’t challenge these lies. He actually went on Jones’ show and said, “Your reputation is amazing. I will not let you down.” This from the man who wants to be president of the United States.
Clinton also solicited campaign donations with ads mentioning Jones and Sandy Hook just weeks before the 2016 election.

Several months later, Kelly brought up Sandy Hook while interviewing Jones, which Pattis contended sparked the petitions and current lawsuits against Jones.
Pattis’ line of questioning therefore seems relevant given these facts, but a cogent argument by Jones’ defense is not allowed during this show trial in which Jones was already pronounced guilty by default by the judge without due process or a verdict by the jury.
