MSNBC “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough on Tuesday used the fact he was sick with Covid for months as an opportunity to shill for booster jabs.
Scarborough told co-host Mika Brzezinski he could have staved off a recent months-long illness had he taken a fourth booster jab.
“You know, it’s interesting, I had not gotten my COVID booster…The fourth. Because, you know, we went to London, then got COVID, got completely knocked down for a while,” Scarborough said.
“We found out the boosters, the vaccines, they don’t stop the disease but they certainly do make a big impact,” Scarborough went on to claim, adding, “Instead of me being down for a month with fatigue, if I had taken the booster I would’ve probably sneezed, and said, ‘What was that?’ and kept going.”
Interestingly, Scarborough points out an antigen test taken after his infection showed his antibodies were at 100% – however he ignores this as a testament to natural immunity.
After being assailed over his pro-booster comments, Scarborough addressed the controversy on Wednesday’s episode of “Morning Joe,” labeling people who reject the boosters “morons.”
“I felt really sorry for anti vaxxers and their children when they were left-wing freaks. And I feel really sorry for anti vaxxers and their children now that they’re right-wing freaks,” Scarborough told Brzezinski.
“They’re ignoring science.”
He went on: “These freaks spread misinformation, on Twitter, on Facebook. And here’s the thing, they’re so rabid and so inspired by people like MTG that they actually celebrated Damar Hamlin almost dying, and they created — they politicized the event. And now some of these freaks are actually saying that he’s a body double, that he actually died, that this is somehow some conspiracy that he’s dead, but the more Hamlin figure that we’re seeing is a body double.”
“You know, yesterday when I was talking about getting COVID, and I should have gotten a fourth booster shot. A lot of these freaks were, ‘Oh, fourth booster shot, robot.’ No, listen, here’s the deal, moron. If you get a flu shot, what do you do? Do you go to the doctor? ‘Oh my god, you want me to have a 50th flu shot?’ No. You get a flu shot every year.”
The MSNBC host also claimed more boosters are necessary because the their effects only last from six months to a year.
“So yes, yes. Put on your big boy pants. Put on your big girl pants. And if you want to be healthy, I don’t care if you don’t that’s your business, smoke cigarettes, do whatever you want to do, stay up all night, don’t sleep. That’s fine. Be unhealthy. Your choice.”
The host’s remarks come as many have raised concerns over the indefinite Covid booster campaign, with Twitter CEO Elon Musk over the weekend admitting he was also laid out by the shot which brought on “major side effects.”
“I had major side effects from my second booster shot. Felt like I was dying for several days. Hopefully, no permanent damage, but I dunno,” Musk tweeted Sunday, adding his cousin suffered myocarditis following his jab.
If Joe Scarborough wants to take a hundred ineffective booster jabs, that’s his right – however, many are taking heed of the innumerable Covid jab horror stories and adjusting their outlook on the experimental mRNA jab accordingly.
