Second Amendment advocate and journalist Kaitlin Bennett recently had her most popular image removed from Instagram after the social media giant claimed the post violated guidelines against “violence and incitement.”
The post, a graduation photo from 2018, shows Bennett carrying a rifle on her back while holding a graduation cap with the phrase “Come and Take It” written on it.
Bennett spoke with The Gateway Pundit about the censorship, saying, “If Instagram is going to say that I’m making direct threats to public safety, then they should call the cops. They’re not just taking down a post that they say goes against community standards. They’re accusing me of committing a crime. Ironically they are perfectly okay with letting thousands of liberals use their platform to make direct threats against me all the time.”
Because the graduation photo was intended to show school shooters they would be met with resistance if students could be armed on campus, she also argued Instagram could be siding with mass shooters.
“I took my graduation photo as a statement that the Kent State massacre wouldn’t have happened if the students that got shot had guns,” she explained. “By taking down my graduation photo, Instagram is siding with the mass shooters.”
The deletion comes as Instagram and other top apps continues to censor conservative voices.
