A Texas mom is fighting to gain full custody of her twin boys after a district judge granted a pediatrician final say over the seizure-prone children’s vaccine decisions.
On Monday, a Texas district court judge ruled the embattled mom, Destiny Jordan Ferguson, would share 50/50 custody of her children with their father.

One main point of contention throughout the litigation was Ferguson’s worry that their father would have the boys vaccinated on doctor’s orders, despite their history of seizures.
In text exchanges provided to the court and obtained by Infowars, Ferguson pleaded with her children’s father to research the correlation between seizures and vaccinations.
“Please read this,” a text from Ferguson to her children’s father back in March stated. “Vaccinations in children who have febrile seizures put them at a higher risk to injury. Please set aside our differences and consider this study based article with cited sources. This is about the boys, not us. Their safety is number one to both of us.”
“I fear the vaccines because the last seizure [G.] had, he stopped breathing. Febrile seizures are caused by high fevers. Vaccines can cause both seizures and fevers. You can find it in the inserts on the CDC website,” the mother texted the following day, additionally forwarding the dad web links to information about vaccine-related febrile seizures, which can be viewed here and here.
At first, the dad appeared receptive to the mom’s concerns and acknowledged they’d agreed to delay vaccines until the boys reached age two, but after much deliberation over the issue, the dad, who’d previously been granted the authority to make medical decisions for the boys by the court, said he’d ultimately leave the decision up to the boys’ pediatrician.
“Dr’s should know about vaccines. They are the ones administering them. That is their duty. They are getting vaccines and I will go by Dr recommendations. I have all the faith in the world they will help me make the most informed decisions and come up with the best plan for vaccinating the boys,” the dad texted Ferguson, adding, “The boys will be held out of a lot of life experiences from not being vaccinated plus the chance of death is way higher when not vaccinated.”
On Monday, a district judge ruled Ferguson and their father would share joint custody of the twins, with the exception that medical decisions regarding vaccinations be left up to the children’s pediatrician.
“A good parent should always read, research and study when it comes to making medical decisions for their children,” the court wrote in its order. “But, no amount of personal research by a lay person can substitute for the education, knowledge and advice of a trusted M.D. For that reason, the parties will defer to the advice of their pediatrician in all matters.”

Now, the concerned mom is appealing the decision and seeking to gain full custody of her children before the medical establishment is able to inject them with an assortment of vaccines.
A fundraiser launched for the mom has thus far raised $1,400 to help cover court fees so she can appeal the judge’s ruling.
