Republican Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina urged the U.S. Senate to get vaccinated on Tuesday, telling them he still caught Covid despite already receiving the jab.
“If you haven’t been vaccinated regarding the COVID problem, you need to get vaccinated,” Graham said. “I’ve been vaccinated and I got COVID anyway.”
Failing to realize the irony of what he just said, Graham admitted he went through “a couple of really bad days,” and felt confident if he was unvaccinated that his illness would have been worse.
“I think the vaccine is safe and it works,” he added.
The senator was speaking to the Senate before voting for the Democrats’ $1.2 trillion “infrastructure” bill.
Graham was one of 19 RINOs who voted in favor of the bill.
