Face masks offer more protection than guns, B-list Hollywood actress Alyssa Milano claimed on Twitter Monday evening.
In an idiotic hot take that was panned on social media, the former Charmed actress equated people who refuse to wear face masks with people who support the Second Amendment.
“Anti-maskers are the same people who think they need an AR-15 for ‘protection’,” Milano tweeted.
“LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK: A MASK WILL PROTECT YOU *MORE* THAN AN AR-15 WILL,” she added.
At least one Twitter user (allowed by Milano to comment on her thread) called out her false equivalence.
Those tools are for very different kinds of threats. I own both AR-15s and KN-95s. I don't see any conflict in that whatsoever.

It’s unclear what prompted Milano’s outburst, but it’s possible she was responding to new videos popping up on social media showing Americans rejecting the Covid hoax and refusing to obey mask rules.
Everyone knows AR-15s are effective for hunting, home and self defense, but the effectiveness of face masks is still up for debate – and that debate is settled for sensible people like Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) who recently called the masks “political theater.”
“In fact, the data study on masks shows that objectively, guess what, the cloth masks don’t work,” Sen. Paul recently stated on Fox Business. “They’re theater. If you look at the cloth masks, 97% of virus-size particles go through cloth masks.”
