A Washington man took a good licking after he confronted two men for not wearing masks in a store and continued berating them in the parking lot.
The incident took place outside an Ocean Shores IGA grocery store on Sunday night.
43-year-old Daniel Troublefield found trouble when he went out of his way to call out a pair of strangers for not wearing their masks.
Troublefield told KIRO 7, “The conversation turned heated.”
He also provided the outlet with surveillance footage of what happened next.

After admitting to confronting the men inside the store, footage shows Troublefield walk into the parking lot, past his own car and up to the driver window of the vehicle the two men were sitting in.
He claimed the men, “Kept berating me with expletives, calling me a ‘snowflake’ and ‘it’s not science, it’s a hoax.’”
“To my regret I walked up to the car,” he continued. “I was trying to explain that it is science and they should be wearing a mask because they’re endangering me and everyone else in the store by not having a mask on.”
Next, Troublefield claims the man sitting inside his vehicle “tapped on my chest, and I flipped up his hat, and that’s when they both got out of the car.”
The footage isn’t clear enough to confirm his allegation, but there was clearly a scuffle, which lasted 20 seconds.
“One grabbed me by the neck in a chokehold and got me down to the ground, and before I knew it, I was getting my face pummeled with fists,” Troublefield explained.
In typical liberal fashion, the volunteer mask enforcer is also upset at local law enforcement, saying, “I don’t feel the police are doing enough. I’m in the dark right now about everything.”
Ocean Shores Police explained the investigation is ongoing, and added that they’re unsure whether the fight was an assault or a case of self-defense.
KIRO 7 reports, “Troublefield, a disabled Marine veteran, said he never threw one punch and even passed out. His nose is now fractured, he’s had to get stitches, and he’s got bruises on his face and body.”
“I’d like to see the two gentleman locked up in jail. I’d like for them to pay for what they did,” Troublefield said, suddenly a fan of police work. “I don’t think any human being deserves to be treated like I was treated.”
We reached out to see if Troublefield thinks any human deserves to be publicly shamed for not covering their face, but he has yet to respond.
