MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” program did not air on Monday due to the network reportedly fearing the show’s hosts or guests might say something disrespectful about Saturday’s attempted assassination of Donald Trump.
According to CNN, an MSNBC source revealed the decision was directly due to network higher-ups fearing someone on the show “might make an inappropriate comment on live television that could be used to assail the program and network as a whole.”
It's a huge day in politics and MSNBC has pulled 'Morning Joe' off the air. They're apparently worried the MJ crew might say something 'inappropriate' about the Trump assassination attempt. From CNN: https://t.co/uK3u0ZIoU9 pic.twitter.com/AS8E4b5FdQ

NBCUniversal News Group Chairman Cesar Conde and MSNBC President Rashida Jones made a joint call to yank “Morning Joe” for the day.
It’s pathetic that the show’s hosts Mika and Joe Scarborough couldn’t be trusted to restrain themselves from making rude or divisive remarks about the attempt on Trump’s life.
Check out some internet reactions below where many people pointed out the top morning news program was removed during what would have been one of their biggest news days of all time.
Stunning. On this uniquely impactful morning, #MSNBC pulls its signature show #MorningJoe, for fear that some jackwagon panelist would say something grotesquely inappropriate. Profoundly pathetic… and probably a wise move on their part. pic.twitter.com/JqqDSGfz9f

Biggest Monday in @JoeNBC’s TV career and @MSNBC pulled his show off the air because they’re afraid of what the hosts or guests might say about the Trump assassination. Damn. I’d quit if any of my bosses tried this. But I’m not a little bitch. Morning, Joe!

.@NBCNews taking Morning Joe and @NicolleDWallace off air in a historic moment as Republicans prepare to nominate Donald Trump is an explicit admission that these are not news programs.
It’s outrage porn that NBC can no longer rely upon for publishable content in this moment in…
