A new report found that three times as many people were murdered than had died of COVID-19 in Washington D.C. in July.
“In the month of July, D.C. Police say there were 21 homicides. According to the most recent COVID-19 data for the city, 8 people died from the virus in July,” WTTG-TV reported Monday.
The latest victim, a 31-year-old teacher and father of four, was shot and killed on Saturday in Northwest. No arrests have been made.
This comes as Democrat Mayor Muriel Bowser on Sunday once again imposed indoor mask mandates for every individual over two years old, regardless of whether they took the COVID shot.
Members of the federal government are exempted, of course.

The report comes just two weeks after gunfire outside of Nationals Park in Washington, D.C., prompting panicked fans to flee from the stands who feared the shots were coming from inside the stadium.
The game was consequently suspended in the sixth inning.

Bowser spearheaded the city’s efforts to defund the police last year, which resulted in a police acquisition freeze.
Now, she wants to roll back some of her actions and rehire 170 additional police officers.
But Bowser is too preoccupied violating her own new mask mandates and playing up the COVID theater to tackle the actual problem in the city, which is skyrocketing violent crime.
