A midshipman speaking at a US Navy event was shut down by a ranking officer in the middle of a comment centered around his decision to refuse a Covid-19 vaccine.
In footage of the event posted to Twitter Tuesday, the naval cadet identified himself to a large gathering at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, before going on to say he feels honor for sticking to his convictions and refusing the experimental shot.

“Sir, through many of the definitions we voted on for what it means to live honorably we talked about how to live honorably is different for every person based on their own moral code,” the cadet says, addressing the crowd and his ranking officer via a microphone and loudspeaker.
“For nine shipmen here, myself included, getting the Covid vaccine would not be living honorably. Even so, the academy has been attempting to [unintelligible] if we are getting the vaccine or…” he manages to impart.
At this point, the ranking officer frantically stops the midshipman and asks him to discuss the matter privately, rather than in front of 4,000 Navy officers.
“Ok stop! Stop! Go ahead and stop right there,” the panicked ranking member insists, stammering, “I don’t want to have this conversation with a group. But I would personally have that conversation with you.”
“That’s not a one to 4,000 conversation, that’s a one to nine, or one to ten conversation.”
“So, I’m not cutting you off, because I don’t want to answer you,” the ranking officer claims, adding, “It won’t be fair to have it in this group. OK?”
“Yes sir,” the cadet replies.
The tense moment is illustrative of the Navy’s unwillingness to allow dissent when it comes to the Covid vaccine, as they’re still mandated by the US government for Navy servicemembers.
The incredible exchange comes as 26 Navy SEALs, five Navy Special Warfare crewmen and three divers are still embroiled in a legal battle with the Biden administration over their refusal of the Covid jabs on religious grounds.
