The Bud Light beer brand is being slammed after its first ad since April’s doomed partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney appeared to make fun of its customers.
In the ad released late last week, the company tried to win back beer drinkers with an homage to drunk people doing stupid things in party settings like failing to close a fridge packed full of beer and dropping their phone in the lake while trying to take a selfie.
The ad also features a dude carrying a tray full of appetizers smashing through a screen door, a bro falling out of a hammock, and a man failing to tap a keg, succeeding instead only at spraying beer all over himself.
The ad attempting to win back consumers was ratioed to oblivion, meaning it received more comments than likes, and was blasted for portraying their customers as idiotic.

“Bud Light’s first tweet since April is a commercial that… *checks notes* …paints their own customers as bumbling idiots,” wrote Twitter user @OldRowSwig. “The moronic leadership at @AnheuserBusch is THE case study on how to destroy a brand.”

Others on Twitter also sounded off on Bud Light’s latest hilarious misstep, with many pointing out people no longer want to be seen drinking the beer.

Pleasantly surprised to see straight white men in advertising again
Just wish you didn't become the butt of every joke at the BBQ before learning this lesson
None of these men would be caught dead drinking your beer in public

None of this is funny until & unless you apologize for using Dylan Mulvaney—a man pretending to be a woman—as your spokesperson. It’s insulting that you think an ad about summer will make us forget our principles. The boycott continues.

Nobody wants to get roasted for drinking Dylan Light

At least your marketing department made a semi-decent commercial and realized that force-feeding trannies down our throats isn’t a winning strategy.
However, it’s too late. You all are a casualty of the culture war.
Y’all are fucked.

Many pointed out the hidden replies, ie replies hidden by the Bud Light account, were particularly brutal.

Lets recap. You have still not apologized to your customer base for calling them "fratty". You have still not fired Alissa Heinerscheid for calling your base "Fratty" and you have not commited to keep out of woke politics.

You support groomers, the mutilation of children, and the marginalizing of women.
You were warned constantly about supporting people that destroy children and women and you were so arrogant that you ignored everyone and did it anyway.

A transexual murdered 6 innocent people at a Christian school, and you promptly started a marketing campaign with a transexual. Millions of Americans are still waiting for your apology.

The desperate ad comes as Bud Light has continued to see sales drop after it alienated its core audience by partnering with Mulvaney and creating a can featuring his face dedicated to his first 100 days of “being a woman.”
“For the week ending June 10, Bud Light sales dropped by a whopping 26.8%, according to the latest data from Bump Williams Consulting and NielsenIQ,” the New York Post reported just last week.
“That’s wider than the 24.4% drop seen during the prior week — and topped the all-time previous worst plunge of 25.7% during the week ended May 20 — since the beer giant got into bed with Mulvaney on April 1.”
On Monday, after being assailed on social media over the weekend, Bud Light announced they would revive a character from a previous ad campaign known as the Bud Knight, however that seems to be going as well as expected.
