New York’s far-left Attorney General Letitia James put on her tinfoil hat on Tuesday when she predicted that President Trump would step down and ask for a pardon by Vice President Mike Pence.
When asked on “The View” on Tuesday if Trump could pardon himself, James argued that Trump would likely step down and ask Pence to pardon him.
“He can preemptively pardon individuals, and the vast of majority of legal scholars have indicated that he can’t pardon himself,” James said.

“What he could do is step down and allow the vice president, Vice President Pence, to pardon him.”
James then claimed Trump would issue pardons to his family members and associates before seeking his own pardon.
“In all likelihood, I suspect that he will pardon his family members, his children, his son-in-law, and individuals in his administration, as well as some of his close associates,” James said.
“And then I suspect that at some point in time he will step down and allow the vice president to pardon him.”
“Now, it’s important to understand that he’s pardoned from federal crimes, but he’s not pardoned from state crimes,” added the NY AG.
Considering no evidence of Trump committing crimes exists, it remains to be seen how James plans to successfully prosecute Trump in the months to come.
