James O’Keefe of OMG has vowed to expose the intelligence officials attempting to block the nomination of Tulsi Gabbard as Director of National Intelligence.
In a post on Twitter on Saturday, O’Keefe wrote, “OMG is going to expose the national security officials spilling the tea.”
Nearly 100 former national security officials have signed a letter criticizing Trump’s choice of Gabbard for the position of intelligence head. The former officials called for the Senate to “carefully evaluate” whether Gabbard is properly “equipped” for the position.
“Several of Ms. Gabbard’s past actions call into question her ability to deliver unbiased intelligence briefings to the President, Congress, and to the entire national security apparatus,” the letter said.
“Following her trip to Syria, for example, Ms. Gabbard aligned herself with Russian and Syrian officials.”
The officials went on to suggest Gabbard’s confirmation hearing should held in closed session.
“Senate committees should consider in closed sessions all information available to the U.S. government when considering Ms. Gabbard’s qualifications to manage our country’s intelligence agencies, and more importantly, the protection of our intelligence sources and methods.”
The letter’s signatories include Wendy Sherman, former deputy secretary of state under Biden; Ian Kelly, ambassador to Georgia under Obama and Trump; and Eric Green, a member of the National Security Council during the Biden administration.
The letter bears a striking resemblance to the letter sent during the 2020 election campaign about leaked emails from Hunter Biden.
More than 50 former intelligence officials signed that letter, claiming a New York Post story about the emails had “all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.”
“If we are right,” the letter said, “this is Russia trying to influence how Americans vote in this election, and we believe strongly that Americans need to be aware of this.”
