Update: Over 10 GOP Governors Back Texas in Border Fight with Feds
Update 10:27PM — The governors of multiple states pledged support for Texas Wednesday amid a feud with the Biden administration over its right to enforce its own borders.
Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R) on Wednesday evening joined Oklahoma in support of Texas amid a standoff with the Biden administration over the state’s right to have a razor wire barrier to defend its border.
“Virginia stands with Texas,” Gov. Youngkin wrote. “@GregAbbott_TX is doing the job Joe Biden and his border czar refuse to do to secure our border. The Biden administration has turned every state into a border state. We must stop the flow of fentanyl, save lives, and secure our southern border.”
Similarly, former Republican presidential candidate and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis declared on Wednesday he’d continue to support Texas’ right to defend itself “with personnel and assets” amid the entanglement.

‘Oklahoma Stands with Texas’: Gov. Kevin Stitt Joins Lone Star State in Federal Border Standoff
Oklahoma’s Republican Governor Kevin Stitt declared he sides with the State of Texas in its entanglement with the Biden administration over defending itself from the invasion happening at the southern border.
On X Wednesday, the governor of Oklahoma, the Lone Star State’s neighbor to the north, declared, “Oklahoma stands with Texas,” accompanied by footage of marching Texas National Guard troops.
Commenters responding to Gov. Stitt’s declaration called on him to back up his words by supplementing Texas’ National Guard with members of the Oklahoma National Guard.
Thank you Governor Stitt. Please let this be more than words and activate your guard and help defend against the invasion.

The governor’s declaration comes as Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) issued a statement on Wednesday explaining the US Constitution allows for Texas to defend its sovereignty, despite the US Supreme Court’s decision favoring the Biden administration’s open border policies.
“The failure of the Biden administration to fulfill the duties by Article IV, § 4 has triggered Article I, § 10, Clause 3, which reserves to this State the right of self-defense,” Abbott wrote. “For these reasons, I have already declared an invasion under Article I, § 10, Clause 3 to invoke Texas’s constitutional authority to defend and protect itself.”
Texas’ resistance has inspired many on social media, including House Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), to express solidarity with the Lone Star State’s right to defend its borders, in what’s shaping up to be a showdown of epic proportions.

At the same time, congressional Democrats from Texas are calling on Joe Biden to assert control over Texas’ National Guard, arguing Gov. Abbott’s defiance of the Supreme Court’s decision allowing Biden to destroy razor wire barriers installed by Texas was creating “chaos at the border.”
Meanwhile, a coalition of Americans have announced a massive multi-city rally next month dubbed the “Take Back Our Border Convoy” that will travel from Texas to California to express Americans’ dissatisfaction with the Biden regime’s open border agenda.
