An NBC News contributor worked overtime to try to spin a grim poll showing the vast majority of Americans believe the country is headed in the wrong direction under Joe Biden.
A recent NBC poll revealed that 75% of the American people believe the country is headed in the wrong direction, with 58% saying that the country’s best years are behind it.
But NBC’s contributor Jamiche Alcindor claimed that the poll actually reveals that most Americans think the country is headed in the wrong direction because they believe former President Trump may come back into power and that Republicans may “steal” the 2022 midterms or the 2024 election.
“They’re very worried about former President Trump coming back into power, or former President Trump or another Republican stealing the election in 2022 or 2024,” Alcindor claimed.

In the same breath, Alcindor claimed Republicans are worried about future elections because they believe the 2020 election wasn’t “free or fair, which of course, it was.”
So Democrats are worried Republicans will steal the election, but Republicans who believe the 2020 election was stolen are “conspiracy theorists” and “election deniers.”
Talk about fake news.
In reality, the poll results are tied to 68% of Americans believing the U.S. is already in a recession, with Biden’s approval rating at an all-time low with 55% disapproval. The poll makes no mention of worries about stealing elections.
The media is simply trying to downplay and spin the disastrous results of this poll since Democrats have been in power for 2 years and with the midterms only a couple months away.
