A photojournalist was hit in the head with a glass bottle at a Pride event in NYC, causing severe bleeding.

The photojournalist, a contributor for NJEG Media, was filming a fight that broke out at the event when someone attacked him from behind.

“I was filming a fight that broke out while police were starting to clear the area,” the photojournalist told The Post Millenial. “A person got thrown into me and knocked me down, as soon as I hit the ground someone came up behind me and smashed a large bottle over my head.”

“Then my camera was stolen in the process.”

The aftermath was caught on video and posted to Twitter:

The man who filmed the video said both he and the photojournalist were filming a fight in Washington Square Park when one of those fighting hit the photojournalist with the glass bottle.

“A woman who was involved in the fight fell on him, then what looked like the woman’s friend hit him over the head with a bottle,” he said. “As I was trying to help him, bottles were also thrown at me.”

The Post Millennial also reported that another person was stabbed in the arm and the chest at the park.
