Conservative activist and Daily Wire podcast host Matt Walsh educated a Nashville school board on the truth about Covid-19 and children.

Speaking against a proposed mask mandate for kids in the school district, Walsh cited real statistics exposing the ridiculousness of the policy.

Walsh, a Nashville resident and father of four, began by saying, “You in the school board have decided that our kids should go to school all day every day wearing muzzles like rabid dogs. I have listened to your arguments and I’ve noticed that they’re missing a few things, namely evidence, data, science, common sense and basic human decency.”

“You presented no facts at all, so let me do that now,” the Daily Wire host continued. “Covid poses almost no risk to our kids at all. 4.2 million children have tested positive for COVID, a total of o.oo8% of them have died.”

Next, Walsh juxtaposed the Covid death toll for children with the 2018-2019 flu season, which killed more children than Covid has in the past year and a half.

“What about the flu?” he asked. “The CDC estimates that 480 kids died from the flu in the 2018-2019 season. That’s more than have died from COVID in a year and a half. Now, did anyone on this board suggest at any point that year that kids wear masks? Did anyone in this room suggest, at any point, anyone wear masks for flu? Which again, is more dangerous, to kids, than COVID – that’s a fact.”

This data checks out as the CDC reports 423 child deaths due to Covid as of August 11, 2021.

Additionally, the CDC did in fact report 480 child deaths in the 2018-2019 flu season.

Walsh went on to accuse the school board of engaging in child abuse by forcing students to wear masks for an illness that poses them little threat.

The podcast host said many of the parents masking their children have Muchausen by proxy, a mental illness where one person creates fake illnesses for someone in their care.

“How would you respond to a parent who forced his kid to wear a football helmet every day all day for fear of falling coconuts and meteors?” Walsh asked. “Your kid is almost as likely to die of Covid as he is from a rock from the sky, and yet if you saw that you would say to that parent that he is abusive, that he is forcing his kid to participate in this utterly insane charade in order to satisfy his delusional, psychotic hypochondria.”

Continuing his speech, Matt addressed the psychological ramifications of forcing kids to wear masks, teaching them the air is toxic and that everyone around them is a biological threat.

Walsh explained that the school board isn’t mandating masks to keep the kids safe, because they are already safe from Covid.

It’s also not to keep the adults safe because they are all able to get vaccinated if they want.

“You do it to make yourselves feel better and to protect yourselves politically. The child’s mask is a symbolic security blanket for you, not them. It’s a disgrace and you should all be ashamed. Thank you for your time,” he ended his speech with a round of applause from other parents in the crowd.

Mainstream media outlets attacked Walsh after footage of the address went viral online.

The Tennesseean misreported what Walsh said, claiming he told the school board Covid doesn’t affect children at all.

The Daily Beast tried the old guilty by association trick by accusing Walsh of “teaming up with” the Proud Boys.

“This whole article from @thedailybeast is tremendous,” he sarcastically stated on Twitter. “Apparently we’re now teamed up with the Proud Boys. I wasn’t aware of that. I was at the meeting and it looked like a bunch of normal middle-aged parents concerned for their kids.”

The speech has been seen nearly 700 thousand times on Twitter alone, which is why Big Tech wants to censor Americans who stand up to the establishment’s cult-like narratives.
