Skeptical privacy activists are picking apart urban architects’ plans to develop “15-minute cities,” claiming the supposedly convenient projects could allow social controllers to more easily impose medical or climate lockdowns.
A 15-minute city, or “15-minute neighborhood,” is defined by the Canadian city of Ottawa as:
“compact, well-connected places with a clustering of a diverse mix of land-uses; this includes a range of housing types, shops, services, local access to food, schools and day care facilities, employment, greenspaces, parks and pathways.”
“They are complete communities that support active transportation and transit, reduce car dependency, and enable people to live car-light or car free,” the description adds.
Activists are concerned 15-minute cities, also dubbed, “smart cities,” will not only discourage car use for residents, but eventually do away with the freedom to travel altogether.
Activists argue Wi-Fi hubs in the cities being built throughout the globe could easily track people via cell phone signals, and would be able to transmit health data and other information to governments.
Illustrating privacy issues with the projects, one activist showed how a park tracks visitors via Wi-Fi, and could easily single out a visitor via cell phone signals and facial recognition cameras.
“So once again, imagine a lockdown scenario, another emergency, another Covid outbreak, or monkeypox, or whatever you like, we’ll make it up,” the activist states in a video. “Six devices in this park at the moment… Your local government, your state government, your federal government might want it to be none, and this will tell” them.
“These sensors up in this light, the Wi-Fi connections, they’re all interlocked. There’ll be facial recognition cameras in there, so don’t think you’re just gonna leave your phone at home. The cameras will pick you up in the future.”
Another viral video purporting to show a snapshot of “smart cities,” showed how facial recognition cameras can instantly know anything about a person, leading to a world of zero privacy.

One activist also filmed as she investigated the horrific nature of the City of Ottawa’s 15-minute city agenda.

Footage out of London showed how ambulances and drivers are finding it hard to traverse blockades put in place as part of the 15-minute city scheme.
“Your mum is in serious medical distress and the professionals can’t bring the equipment they need because of fucking 15 minute cities. This is already happening,” imagined one UK Twitter user.
The United Nations and other globalist organizations have long sought smart cities and their surveillance capabilities. Corralling populations into big cities and eliminating vehicles would indeed make people more manageable as globalist forces deindustrialize the western world while rebuilding society in their own nightmarish visions.
Pushback against the 15-minute city is just getting started as more people become aware they’re getting built all around them, with the ultimate goal being total population enslavement.
