An Maricopa, Co., election official purportedly ordered poll workers to hand out ballpoint pens to early voters and Sharpie markers for those voting on Election Day.

The order, which was in an email shared by US House candidate John Barnett, is significant because ballots marked with Sharpies cannot be read well by voting machines due to ‘bleed-through’ – and Republican voter turnout was expected to peak on Election Day.

“We’ve heard you and we know you’re hearing issues and concerns about the Sharpie markers,” reads the Oct. 22 email. “Starting tomorrow, 10/23, and through 11/2, we are asking that clerks hand voters BALLPOINT PENS rather than markers.”

“We NEED to use markers on election day, but for now and through 11/2, hand voters a ballpoint pen.”

“You have plenty of pens in your supplies right now,” the email added.

The “issues and concerns” about the Sharpie markers stem from reports that they can bleed though ballot paper, making them unreadable to ballot reading machines.

If the intent was to run a fair election, there’s no obvious reason why ballpoint pens wouldn’t be used for both early voters and Election Day voters – and, according to the email, there were “plenty of pens,” and Sharpie markers are generally more expensive than cheap pens bought in bulk.

In short, Election Day ballots were treated differently than early voter ballots, and voter turnout on Election Day favored President Trump due to Democrats having more fear of voting in-person on Election Day because of ‘Covid-19.’

Infowars tried to reach out to the election official listed on the email, but she deleted her social media account beforehand and didn’t respond to phone calls prior to publication.
