Actress Fran Drescher, president of the Screen Actors Guild — American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA), called for an end to Covid jab mandates on Sunday.
Speaking at the 2023 SAG Awards, Drescher told the Hollywood crowd, “And as the nation declares an end to the Covid emergency this May, I hope we will see everyone return to work in equal opportunity!”
She then implored her fellow performers to use their influence to spread freedom, saying, “Our industry brings billions of production dollars to states across the nation, but if they want our business, let’s wield our financial influence to make governors act in the best interest of freedom, diversity, inclusion and democracy.”
“We are the greatest influencers on the planet and must promote freedom for ALL. As my character Bobbi Flekman said in ‘This Is Spinal Tap’ — money talks and bulls – – t walks!” Drescher added.
“The Nanny” actress previously spoke out on behalf of unvaccinated actors who felt “discriminated against” because their vaccine status kept them “from working in major studio productions.”
Drescher, who took the Covid vaccine herself, simply understands that “giving employers the discretionary rights to decide which of us can or can’t work based on our medical history is a dangerous slippery slope.”
Especially as more data comes out proving the poor efficacy and extreme dangers of the Covid shots, it’s crucial for more people in leadership roles like Drescher to step up and advocate for medical freedom.
