The Democrat and media’s years-long Russia collusion hoax was started by Hillary Clinton as a way to distract from her growing email scandal in 2016, according to Senator Doug Collins (R-Ga.).
“It was a Clinton cover-up of her emails and her blatant disregard of the law in keeping classified e-mails on a private server,” Collins said on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures.”
“Then she had her perfect pawn (former FBI Director) James Comey, go out and say that no reasonable prosecutor would ever prosecute this.”
Collins also noted several mainstream media outlets like the Washington Post have “corrected” its reporting about the infamous Steele Dossier that was used to target former President Trump.
“You even have the Washington Post this week correcting stories,” said Collins. “Let me add one thing in the story that I didn’t see corrected. How about saying ‘I’m sorry Donald Trump, that we lied and took false information and tried to tear you down?’ That’s one thing I did not see and that’s the one thing I think that’s coming from the Durham investigation.”
Collins also said that former CIA Director John Brennan and former director of National Intelligence James Clapper are under John Durham’s investigative crosshairs because “they were the ones that briefed (President Barack) Obama about the plot from Hillary Clinton to paint Donald Trump with Russia. There needs to be accountability.”
Renewed scrutiny of the Russia hoax came last week after Durham indicted Igor Danchenko, the sub-source of the debunked Steele Dossier, for lying to the FBI.
Additionally, Joe Biden’s National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, who served as Clinton’s campaign adviser during the 2016 election, has also been named in Danchenko’s indictment, leading some to believe Durham’s investigation may soon scoop up bigger names involved with the Deep State coup against Trump.
