A mother filmed as she was approached by a police officer inside a public library in South Florida.
In the video, a masked female 9-1-1 first responder argues with the mother telling her she needs to leave because she wasn’t wearing a face mask.

“You think 9-1-1 has time for that?” the officer asks the mother, who replies “No, so please, I just want to sit here and read.”
The officer next says, “I can’t sit here while your son reads, ok? We’re 9-1-1. We are first responders. We have other calls that we have to go to.”
“I wasn’t bothering anyone, madam,” the mom replies, prompting the officer to ask her to leave for the day.
“OK, I think it’s time for you to wrap up and leave for today,” the officer instructs, adding, “I think coming back another day may be your best option, cause today is not good.”
“Why?” the mom asks.
“Because you’ve clearly caused a disturbance, and there’s an issue,” the officer responds.
“They just called because I wouldn’t put a mask on, I wasn’t causing any disturbance. I wasn’t raising my voice, I wasn’t yelling at anyone.”
