Jill Biden bungled an appearance at a Cesar Chavez Day event in California.
On Wednesday, Biden spoke at at Day of Action event sponsored by the Cesar Chavez Foundation and United Farm Workers in Delano.
Biden concluded her speech by butchering the socialist civil rights leader’s infamous Spanish slogan, “Sí, se puede,” which translates in English to “Yes, we can.”
The attempt to pander to Hispanics was a monumental fail, as noted by Western Journal:
“Learning how to pronounce ‘puede,’ one of the first words any first-year Spanish student will come across, mightn’t have been the worst idea.”
“Instead, she faked solidarity with UFW members and then undermined her whole message by slaughtering one of the easiest, most familiar words in the native tongue of most California farmworkers. Nice work.”
