A children’s cartoon produced by Netflix called Battle Kitty is catching the attention of parents who are shocked at the blatantly sexual and homoerotic nature of the program.
One concerned mother posted a warning to other parents on her Instagram account last week, telling them, “My kids started watching this and I was shocked at how much sexualized content is on this show. Netflix, you need to ban this. The main character Kitty is constantly doing stuff with his butt. His sidekick Orc escaped from a place full of BDSM characters…”

The mother also noted the disturbing cartoon put a lot of “emphasis on” the characters’ butts and asked why they wear “fishnet and bdsm gear.”
Keep in mind this is approved for ages 7 years and older, according to the streaming giant.
In fact, the official Netflix YouTube channel for the kid’s program has a video dedicated to “just the butts” in Battle Kitty.
In the nearly nine-minute compilation, characters can be seen twerking their overtly bubbly bums, farting, wearing bondage gear, and at one point being repeatedly rammed in the rear by a wrench while gasping in both pleasure and surprise.
One character catches a large carrot with his hand and stops it from going in his mouth as his bubblegum explodes on his lips and face.
Several of the show’s characters are extremely flamboyant and openly queer with two male main characters eventually dating each other.
“I also love how overtly and unapologetically gay the characters are,” reads an article about the program on Comicon.com.
A review for the show explains, “Additionally, parents will want to be aware that the male Orc, the show’s secondary protagonist, is gay, and he has an obvious crush on another man. By the end of the show, the two agree to go on a date together. Kitty is also male, but he wears bows and dresses made by Orc that power him up. Often, Kitty refers to Orc as ‘baby boi.’”
The show’s creator, Matt Layzell, told Wired.com in April 2022 he was intent on filling the kid’s show with “booties.”
“There’s just something about little cute characters shaking their butts,” he said. “I think there’s some ancient magic there.”
The show isn’t just another cartoon in a long list of Netflix programming either, with the streaming platform advertising it as a top show listed among titles like Kung Fu Panda, My Little Pony, Jurassic World and others.
After looking over the Instagram page of the show’s creator, it is curious Netflix selected him to create a show for kids.
Much of his artwork revolves around BDSM, nudity, Satanism and queerness.
