Three illegal aliens from Colombia have been arrested for multiple burglaries targeting homes in upscale neighborhoods on Long Island, NY.
On Friday, information about the case was made public after two of the suspects entered not guilty pleas during arraignment in a Nassau County Court.
Between Nov. 29 and Dec. 21 of 2024, the Colombians are suspected of breaking into at least four houses in Old Westbury and Muttontown, Long Island Life and Politics reports.
In each case, authorities say the suspects shattered rear windows while the residences were unoccupied and proceeded to enter and steal jewelry, diamonds, gold, designer handbags, safes, family heirlooms, and over $250,000 cash.

Amid an extensive investigation spanning multiple states, two suspects were located on Feb. 14 in Newark, NJ.
David Fernando Moreno Hernandez, 26, and Ivan Stewar Ramierez-Villalobos, 25, were taken into custody at that time. Investigators also tied Ramirez-Villalobos to a 2023 burglary in Livingston, NJ.
Juan Pablo Orjuela-Saavedra, 23, was later picked up by U.S. Marshals during a vehicle stop in East Orange, NJ.
On Feb. 27, Nassau County Detectives arrived at Essex County Correctional Facility in Newark to take custody of Hernandez and Orjuela-Saavedra, who were transported to Long Island to each face second-degree burglary charges.
Ramirez-Villalobos remained in custody in New Jersey due to his case there, but has also been charged with four counts of second-degree burglary.
