A parent made headlines this week after chastising Lake Travis Independent School District board members for being more occupied with Covid health orders than educating children.
In what was mostly a boring meeting, a mother named Kara Bell shook things up when she read excerpts from a book found at two middle schools in the district.
The book, “Out of Darkness” by Ashley Hope Pérez, features several sexually graphic passages read by Bell, such as “pussy, or the idea of pussy, or the idea of the idea of pussy. A Mexican is a Mexican is a Mexican.”
The vulgar content continued, describing teen boys taking a girl “out back” and putting their hands on her “titties,” putting it in “her corn box,” putting it “in her cornhole,” grabbing her “braid” and rubbing “that calico.”
“You can find that on page 39,” the mother told the school board.
Bell then told the board members she had to Google “cornhole” to learn it is sexual slang for the anus, and when used as a verb means “to have anal sex.”
“I don’t want my children to learn about anal sex in middle school,” the angry mother sternly told the school board. “I’ve never had anal sex, I don’t want to have anal sex, I don’t want my kids having anal sex! I want you to start focusing on education and not public health. You’re not public health officials, you are supposed to be educating our children, not teaching them about anal sex.”
This viral video comes two weeks after an Ohio mayor told an entire school board to resign or be charged with the dissemination of child pornography due to sexually explicit curriculum being taught in certain high schools.
