With everything that’s been happening over the last two weeks—it feels like barely five minutes pass without some major new development—you could be forgiven for not remembering who Riley Jane English is.
Or, to give him his real name, Ryan Michael English.
Yes, Ryan Michael English is a tranny. Male to female.
Last week, Ryan took it upon himself to try and murder a member of the new Trump administration. He was arrested at the Capitol, in Washington, armed with Molotov cocktails and a knife.
He approached a police officer at the door to the Capitol building and said, quite calmly, “I’d like to turn myself in.” Nobody was hurt, thank God. English had more naughty stuff, including bomb-making equipment, in his car.
When he was arrested, he told officers he had intended to kill Scott Bessent, Trump’s new Treasury Secretary. Bessent had been confirmed, in front of the Senate, the day before.
Later, under questioning, English revealed that his initial plan had actually been to kill “Nazi” Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth or the Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson. Failing that, he wanted to burn down the Heritage Foundation, the think-tank responsible for the policy document called “Project 2025,” which has been tearing at the frayed ends of liberal sanity for the last 12 months—and even more so now, since it really does appear to be the template for the Trump 2.0 agenda.
English eventually settled on Scott Bessent, for whatever reason, but then he got cold feet.
His motives and goals are explained in a note found in his pocket, scrawled on the back of a receipt, and in what he told officers.
The note was addressed to “Judith.” Here’s what it said: “You must understand I can feel myself slowly dying b/c of my heart. This is terrible but I cant do nothing while nazis kill my sisters. I love you. This is awful. Im so sorry. I love u. Please stay alive and heal. You can. F*ck them for pushing us so far. You dont deserve this. I’m so sorry for lying and plotting and lying. Please survive.”
So: revenge for Nazi murders of transwomen. Got it.
(This isn’t happening, of course, but if you inhabit certain slightly more fragrant corners of the internet, it’s easy to convince yourself it is. In short: English was probably a Reddit forum poster or moderator.)
English enlarged on the note, telling officers he “didn’t have a plan,” but felt he was “on a mission.”
He went on to say he’d been “thinking about this for a while because of Luigi Mangione. I have seen the response to that and that situation… It was not an everyday thing and it extremely shook up everything.”
Inspiration: Luigi Mangione. I can’t say I’m surprised.
Luigi Mangione, you may remember, was the photogenic hitman who gunned down United Healthcare CEO Brian Thomas in the street, in New York, just before Christmas. Mangione, who was an otherwise fit and popular young man, was forced into an embarrassing life of inceldom after a back operation went sideways. His spine simply wasn’t up to the thrust and parry of modern dating, so he decided to murder somebody important, to make a statement about the iniquity of America’s healthcare system—or something stupid like that. Neither Mangione himself nor any member of his family had ever bought a United Healthcare product. Brian Thomas was just a symbol—even if he was made of flesh and blood and had a family.
When photos of Mangione with his shirt off were released, retarded left-wing femmes everywhere cooed in unison—and more than a couple on the “right” too, or rather the so-called “post-left”—until it was revealed Mangione stood a diminutive 5’7” in lifts. At which point, many of his fickle admirers called for him to be given the death penalty for his crime. I’d post the coffee-cup emoji, if I knew how.
Anyway, this isn’t about female dating preferences in the age of Tinder.
The point is—Luigi Mangione. With the dismal failure of the organized left, Little Luigi the Lone Wolf is now, clearly, the model for resistance to the new Trump regime.
I said this before, about six weeks ago, in an op-ed titled “Monkey See, Monkey Do.” Images of Luigi as a Catholic saint, halo and all, were doing the rounds on social media. TikTok was awash with videos of deranged women with SSRI-stares promising a wave of retribution for CEOs and company owners and “capitalists.” People were dressing up as Super Mario’s brother and discoursing to the assembled media and anyone who’d listen about healthcare reform.
Very silly. Except it isn’t.
I said: “We shouldn’t be fooled by any of the flippant stuff we see on social media about Luigi Mangione. There’s a genuine depth of feeling that goes far, far beyond the ephemeral and the horny.”
This outpouring was an index of the total exhaustion of the left after eight years of trying, and failing, to destroy Trump. Trump is back, and he’s more pissed off and more popular than ever. Mass mobilisation against him doesn’t work. As outlets like Axios report “the Resistance goes quiet,” top Democrats lament the complete absence of a narrative to counter “Make America Great Again.”
What now?
As a result, there’s been a noticeable shift in rhetoric from prominent political figures on the left, with more radical members of the Democrat party, like AOC and Bernie, directing their ire towards America’s “oligarchs,” and in doing so legitimizing what Mangione did and the theory behind it.
Americans are being robbed blind by a small class of fat cats—the oligarchs—but they’re mortal like the rest of us, with names and addresses, so act accordingly…
We need to take this new reality seriously. Deadly seriously. And we also need to understand who the footsoldiers of the anti-oligarchy—the lone wolves—are likely to be.
Of course, they’ll be radical, by definition. And who is more radical, ultimately—who is more committed to the left’s perpetual war with biology and nature—than a transgender person?
Bronze Age Pervert captured this nicely in one of his hilarious aphorisms, when he said the future Bergen-Belsens will be manned by lesbian mulatta commissars with faces and haircuts like the young Martin Sheen.
Where the lines of intersectionality converge is where the most remorseless executioners will be found.
America already has transgender spree-attackers and school shooters—Jared Ravizza (remember him?) and Audrey Hale, for starters—and there will, no doubt, be more.
In the past few days, journalist Andy Ngo has done fantastic work exposing a vegan transgender murder cult, the “Zizians,” that has claimed the lives of multiple people, including a border patrol agent. They remain at large.
Trump has brought to an end the barbaric regime of child mutilation and medication by which transgenderism replicates itself. No doubt that’s exactly what Ryan English was gesturing towards when he said “Nazis” were “killing” his “sisters.” By preventing confused young boys from transitioning before they’ve had time to think it through and understand their feelings, Trump—sorry, Hitler—is literally killing the “girls” they could have been. Should have been.
The logic of the lex talionis—“an eye for an eye”—is hard to resist, especially when there is no other option for redress. Many leftists now feel there is no other option. I take no pleasure in saying this, but people really are going to get hurt.
